SENDCO required for June 2025 – Maternity Cover
We are looking for a SENDCO to fill a temporary vacancy in our team due to one of our dedicated staff members going on Maternity Leave. We are a committed group of people who are looking forward to welcoming someone new into our forward-thinking and innovative school. Whilst this job is temporary, you will receive all the benefits of a permanent member of staff including CPD and additional release time if you take on some additional responsibility.
We are looking for someone with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- SENCO qualification
- Outstanding experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Prior experience of working with external agencies
- Proven experience with management of SEN policies
- Experience of developing SEND adapted classroom practice
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with staff, parents, and pupils
- Preferably familiar with the Sounds-Write phonics programme
