Maths workshop - Times tables

Times tables
At Pound Hill Junior School, we are striving for our children to become fluent and confident mathematicians. An area that we feel is very important to achieve this is children developing their times table facts.

The national curriculum states that children need to know

10x, 5x, 2x in year 2

3 x 4x, 8x, in year 3

6x, 7x, 9x, 11x, 12x in year 4

We teach these in the following order:

10x, 5x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 3x, 6x, 9x, 7x, 11x, 12x.

Below are a selection of activities that you could do with children at home to help.
